As in many developing countries and simply because it’s easy, Solomon Islands men can make poor life decisions and these decisions may result in imprisonment. Due to the judicial system, they may spend years in remand waiting for their case to be heard.
Through Crossroads Bible Ministry, volunteers coordinated by SWIM, we have around 100 inmates completing biblical studies programmes. On their release the prisoners are given a package that contains basics items such as food supplies, towelling, cleaning and hygiene products and devotional material.
